Leadership Training and Development

In today's rapidly changing world, the Supervisory Board (SB) and Leadership Team hold a crucial role in overseeing the management and strategic direction of a company in the energy sector. To guide navigation of this dynamic landscape, NTCS Energy developed specialised training programs and organises reference visits, allowing participants to learn from industry leaders and best practices first-hand. To guide and inspire Caribbean energy companies, NTCS Energy developed three Supervisory Board trainings:

Supervisory Board Energy Training

Our Energy Training is a multi-day, interactive training. Knowledge is provided by a lecturer or keynote speaker. We focus on the most up-to-date energy trends supported by practical examples and best practices observed in the Netherlands and globally.

During the training, we organize workshops where participants apply their newfound knowledge to practical, hands-on cases. Discussions are facilitated to tackle potential challenging questions that might confront a Supervisory Board.

As a participant, you:

  • Learn in an interactive way with lecturers and key-note speakers

  • Become up to date with the latest energy trends, international best practices, and lessons learned

  • Participate in workshops and discussions to apply the obtained knowledge in real-life situations

Supervisory Board Excellence Training

Our Excellence Training is a training consisting of a mix of theory and practice to equip your company’s Supervisory Board with a robust set of skills and expertise, enabling members to effectively fulfil their roles and responsibilities. The training supports the Supervisory Board to cope with day-to-day challenges they face in the rapidly evolving energy landscape.

As a participant, you receive:

  • Enhanced knowledge and understanding regarding roles and responsibilities of the Board of Commissioners, particularly concerning strategy and risk management

  • An improved mutual cohesion within the Supervisory Board

  • A clear stakeholder analysis and positioning of the Board in relation to various stakeholders

  • Enhanced knowledge of the legal framework of a state-owned or regulated company

  • Awareness of the distinction between an executive and supervisory role

Reference Visit

NTCS Energy believes that teams of energy companies operating in the Caribbean region can draw inspiration from best practices, lessons learned, and experiences in the Dutch energy sector. This is why we organise and facilitate tailored Reference Visits to The Netherlands. These visits form a fruitful ground for ideas and initiatives to be carried out in the Caribbean. Previous participants describe the visits as “inspirational, educational, and fun.”

Previous organised visits includ field visits to renewable energy and electric mobility projects, workshops, field visits to Dutch grid operators and their R&D facilities, and discussion sessions with management teams of public and private organisations in the Dutch energy sector.
